Petition Volunteers

Thank you for replying and offering to help us collect petition signatures.  This is going to be a challenging petition period for all, shortened time frame, middle of winter, surging cases, etc... but I am really excited for your help.

Included in the attachments are the petition itself, rules for circulating petitions, and a map to show the area of our district from which the signatures must come.

Also, let me know if you would like to pass other petitions at the same time and we will try and secure/get them for you.  Other races include Governor, Lt Governor, Secretary of State, Treasurer, Comptroller at the state level.  Maybe you want to get signatures for the two state rep seats under me?  The County seats include County Clerk, Treasurer, Sheriff, and County Board Districts (1-9).

Lastly, where to go for signatures: think about your normal day-to-day.

  • Family
  • Neighbors
  • Work colleagues
  • Church or other events you attend
  • Kids events (sports, school, etc...)

If you have time and energy and excitement, other options include:

Apartment complexes if you can get in, especially if they have indoor hallways.

Walking your neighborhood or other nearby neighborhoods (we can provide targeted lists of houses to focus on).

School pick-up lines (show up 30 min before pickup and walk the cars).

Train Stations in the District (morning departure time is best as people arrive early and wait, returning trains people tend to head straight to cars but it can work--always check departure/arrival times for that day).

  • Long Lake
  • McHenry
  • Crystal Lake
  • Cary
  • Woodstock
  • Antioch (Wilcox/Weber)
  • Lake Villa (Wilcox/Weber)
  • Fox Lake (Wilcox/Weber)

Thank you again for all you have done and all you continue to do!

Will you volunteer?
