Charles Wheeler Young Patriot Awards Presented at President's Day Event

This past Monday we celebrated President's day with special awards given to two special young ladies. Sophomore Lili Polster and seventh grader Alexa Mayer received the "Charles Wheeler Young Patriot's Award" after reading their moving essays to the crowd of nearly a hundred attendees. Each were met with a thunderous ovation as they concluded their reading. Liberty First PAC Founders Board Chairman Mike Buehler, Coroner Dr. Michael Rein, Clerk Joe Tirio and Senator Craig Wilcox presented the ladies with the awards along with a check for $50 for their exemplary work.

The award certificates declare that the recipient "Has demonstrated an advanced understanding of the necessity of the citizen’s role in their government to ensure continued liberty for this generation and generations yet to come". The award was named in honor of Charles "Chuck" Wheeler, the late McHenry County Board member known for his fearless defense of conservative values, and especially the rights guaranteed in our constitution.

Thank you ladies for your outstanding patriotism! You are an inspiration to us all.
